Preliminary Purchase Criteria

If you would like to purchase an affordable unit at 307 Bergen Avenue, you must submit a preliminary application that meets criteria regarding your:

1) Income 2) Savings 3) Credit score

If your preliminary application meets these above requirements and is deemed eligible for the Waiting List, you will be contacted via email with a personal dropbox link, in which you must upload the Official Application and necessary supporting documents.

Mortgage Pre-Approval and Homebuyer Education

If you are emailed a personal dropbox folder, you must upload the following two documents:

1) Mortgage Pre-Approval: interested buyers must obtain a mortgage pre-approval from any lender of their choice

2) First-Time Homebuyer Education Certificate (FTHE): buyers who have not owned a home in the past three recent years must obtain a First Time Homebuyer Education Certificate from a H.U.D.-Approved Homebuyer Counseling Agency. NOTE*

Please note that if you have purchased a house in the past three (3) years, you are NOT eligible for the purchase of one of these affordable units.
